Welcome to N.M.I
A meeting place for everyone
The Nottingham Mechanics Institute (N.M.I) is an educational charity based in Nottingham City Centre. We hire rooms for educational purposes and host adult education courses (run via the Workers Educational Association - WEA).

We have an active social membership, where members can attend a wide range of groups, talks, trips, workshops, classes and other activities. We also have a library & reading room with a variety of books and dvds available for members to loan out.

There is a fully licenced bar & restaurant, available for N.M.I members, and those visiting us for courses and public events.

Visitors are most welcome into our building assisted by a member (£3 - visitors fee payable at reception)

If you are looking for a room to hire in Nottingham, for a conference, talk, event or workshop please contact us for more information.
